How to add, change, or delete a Master or User codes:

 Watch out for:  

  • Are you taking too long between keystrokes?  Each of these sequences must be executed with no pauses between keystrokes.
  • Do you have the right Authority?  Only a Master Code can be used to assign, change, or delete user codes.
  • All codes must be 4-digits.
  • The keypad gives no confirmation of prompts until all keystokes are completed.
  • Vista 10P has 13 available user positions (03-15) beside the Master Code.
  • Vista 20P has 45 additional user positions (03-47) beside the Master Code.
  • Lynx (wireless) has 4 additional user positions (03-06) beside the Master Code.

 

 

 


  Changing an Existing Master code (Master changing itself)

  1. At the keypad, enter Master Code + 8 + 02 + New Master Code + New Master Code
  2. This will change the Master Code.  The new code is keyed twice for verification.
  3. You will get a single beep to verify the entry was accepted.
  4. For example, if the Master Code is 1234 and wants to change itself to 5678,
  5. Key the following:  1234 8 02 5678 5678

    Programming a Secondary User Code

  1. At the keypad, enter master Code + 8 + (user position) + 4-digit User Code.
  2. You will get a singe beep to verify the entry was accepted.
  3. The user position will be a 2-digit entry of 03, 04, 05, etc...
  4. For example, if the Master Code is 1234 and wants to add a code of 5678 as user #03,
  5. Key the following:  1234 8 03 5678

   Deleting a Secondary User Code

  1. At the keypad, enter Master Code + 8 + (user position) + # + 0
  2. You will get a single beep to verify the entry was accepted.
  3. The user position will be a 2-digit entry of 03, 04, 05, etc...
  4. For example, if the Master Code is 1234 and wants to delete user #03,
  5. Key the following:  1234 8 03 # 0
